President/CEO responsible for Business Development

Vanessa Pizzinato’s career began as a web designer and online community developer for I. Hoffmann + Associates Inc. in Toronto. She became skilled in information architecture and virtual strategies during her tenure at the agency and was pivotal in the creation of www.nikolai.com. This multi-award winning website developed for children between the ages of 2 to 12 garnered the attention of such technology leaders as AOL, Netscape and CBC. Over the past 15 years Vanessa’s experience enabled her to develop an ability to quickly understand overall communication strategies and how they inter-relate with corporate structures and processes.

Upon the decision to move back to her hometown of Kingston, Ontario she realized that there was a need for effective branded web design. She developed an interactive web design course for St. Lawrence College to help prospective designers comprehend the complexity of web development and focus on e-marketing; creative design; site architecture and programming. The course still is available today and has spanned into an online virtual classroom environment. Today, Vanessa is the President and Co-Owner of SmallWorld Media Group, Inc.
